　　An Eye-Witness Account of a Traffic Accident

　　It was June 20, 20xx, Friday. The accident happened about half past eight in the morning when I was on my way to school. I was waiting at the bus stop on the West Road and suddenly heard a loud scream of car brakes coming from nearby. Out of instinct, I turned around and saw what happened at that moment.

　　It was a crash between a truck and a taxi. Before the accident, the truck loaded with steel bars were moving slowly in the center of the road and a taxi was impatiently following it. Then, the taxi was trying to overtake the tuck when the truck suddenly turned left, intending to avoid a girl crossing the road. Seeing this, the taxi-driver was trying very hard to pull up the car but couldn't help but bumped into the trailer of the truck. Both cars slid forward a few meters before they stopped fully. Five minutes later, an ambulance and a police wagon arrived. The taxi-driver was taken onto the ambulance and I could see some blood on his head and face. The truck driver seemed still panic, standing freezingly at the side of the road. I could see some damages on both cars.

Another cause may be the girl. The traffic signs indicate that pedestrians are forbidden crossing the road at that time.
